The country has seen a lot of changes in the past few years. One of the biggest changes is the sudden growth of the healthcare sector in full speed. The prime reason for this is that people have become more aware of healthcare regimes and the need for even basic medical assistance. Many people however, cannot pay for the high cost of treatment and therefore prefer to ’forget’ about the illness. This leads to further health complications which cannot be done away with just minor medication. Health insurance providers are trying to resolve this problem by providing solutions that would make sure that people are able to get treated and still not go bankrupt while doing so.

The biggest problem is that people know that when they neglect an illness, it could turn into something big. However, they still do not get the insurance just because the same would require them to spend money. This money spent in buying an insurance policy is actually much less than the cost of treatment. Therefore it is not a waste to pay for the premium of a health insurance plan. The premium amount is actually exempted from taxation under section 80 (D) of the Income Tax Act.
